I'm not a liberal, but I'm 1000% in favor of any treatment that is legitimately demonstrated to be beneficial.

So the National Poison control has seen a significant spike in the abuse of a drug available at farm supply stores.

I don't support that.

I do support doctors choosing medicines they think will better the health of their patients.

That's not being fanatical against using alternative treatments for COVID 19 but it is seen as that for some.

Let me be clear. As soon as a hospital fills up, anyone who is in an ICU because they made the choice to not get vaccinated get kicked first. People who make poor decisions should take responsibility for their decisions. People not trusting science by not getting vaccinated, then running to a hospital when that decision goes poorly is NOT something I respect.

FWIW, I don't believe Ivermectin has been legitimately demonstrated to be a beneficial treatment.

Let me be clear. YOU don't get to dictate healthcare choices for ANYONE besides yourself. YOU don't get to tell hospitals how to run their business. YOU don't get to tell insurers how to run their business. YOU don't get to deny other people services that they paid for based on some arbitrary thing YOU deem a 'bad choice'. As if YOU have never made bad choices in your life

You're free to open up a hospital and deny admission to anyone you deem to have made bad choices all you want. But considering the entire hospital business model depends on people making 'bad' choices, I can't guarantee you'll be in business for very long.

If I'm running a hospital, the first patients to be denied care would be the ones without insurance (e.g. the ones unable to pay). People who make 'bad choices' with excellent insurance are my best customers and are frequent flyers in that business, they'd be getting top of the line care. A hospital is a business in this country and can't treat patients out of bankruptcy.

Well if I recall President Trump did do something, like sending a Naval hospital ship to New York. I don't believe it was used very much.

Only plausible if the patient and/or their legal representative demanded discharge against medical advice.

That is a rather drastic move. Can you explain why?
