The Biden Afghanistan disaster will have many long lasting consequences for the United States. One wonders whether that was the plan of the democrats.
Maybe they DID see it coming, but didn't care. They are already referring to the Taliban as partners and trying to legitimize these Islamic terrorists. They probably consider a ransom payment a form of foreign aid to the newly formed and "legitimate" government of Afghanistan.
But now it looks like Taliban holds hostages ( in Mazar-i-Sharif, not Kabul; apparently this makes a huge difference, according to some.)
