The beauty of the article in the OP
is that it chronicles all of the "Big Lies" of the Democrat left going back a few years with a simple clarity that not complicated or even controversial to anyone who values actual truth or actual facts.

And the ugliness is the utter failure to chronicle all the "Yuge Lies" of the Republican right going back a few years and the pure nonsense of believing every issue/problem in the world has only two sides/solutions.

It might be helpful to understand what the article was trying to explain - why people don’t believe the experts or media when they say to trust them that there are no problems with the vaccine. It is not about Democrat lies, but media lies. Are you getting confused and assuming they are the same thing?

There does tend to be some significant overlap between the two.

This is a fantastic article. I am just posting the very last part of it, but the rest is excellent and probably deserves an award of some sort.
This is a red herring. The reason for trusting the vaccines is not “because the government said so”. There is actual data that is available to the public, a concept that some people are still struggling with. If you don’t trust US scientists, fine. European scientists have also looked at the data and come to a similar conclusion.

????????????????

As a physician, I DO CARE about how my patients do. I do not get paid a penny more if someone gets vaccinated or if I do a surgery or nothing at all. I have no motivation at all for patients to DO anything.

Believe it or not, physicians do have a sense of pride and want our patients to do well. However, you cannot force anyone to do anything. So despite our advice and wishes, many patients choose NOT to get vaccinated.

Now I can certainly understand patients not wanting to undergo invasive procedures (I don't like them on me); in most instances, we tend to suggest the least invasive options first for a number of reasons. Vaccinations are considered to be basic, no frills healthcare, much like managing blood pressure and diabetes.

The internet has done a lot to spread disinformation to the public regarding medical issues, much to the detriment of the nation.

Covid is shaping up to be a big herd reduction of the vaccine nay sayers. I'm starting to be fine with that. Don't take the vaccine if you don't want to. With something around 90-95% of patients in ICU are the unvaccinated. You don't always leave ICU alive with covid. Or at least it makes you a believer in vaccines after that.

Better yet. If you don't believe in the science of vaccine and getting covid is not so bad then don't also want to be treated with the wonderful science of healthcare. Leave the ICU's available to those who believe in science.

Unfortunately too many continue to make a health problem into a political issue. With that said, the very first thread I ever made on the virus was posted in the health forum. It was immediately moved here. So in a sense, that decision by the powers-to-be here is helping to perpetuate the thought that this is a political issue.
