Mass casualties is exactly what some of these hospitals are dealing with right now. Triage is treating the patients most likely to survive first. Unvaxxed COVID patients who end up in the ICU on vents have a low chance of survival. True triage would be putting those patients last. As they should be.
I hear you, and no longer do patient care. But even a significant historical fact like being unvaccinated is not going to trump intensity or severity of current illness. I just don't see that happening on any regular basis.
Now it may be that one doc with 2 patients makes a choice. But more likely the unvaccinated are sicker and we will continue to chase our tails.
Reminds me of our own survival with our highway head on crash 1/1/17. My wife wife nearly died. And the lady at fault, who was never going to survive, was helo'd out first.
In fact, why don't we get rid of hospitals, doctors, nurses, and pharmacists as well.
People can look up their symptoms online, find their diagnosis, then go to the feed store and get their medications.

You all joke, but in countries with national healthcare, a lot of meds that are only available with a prescription here in the US are sold OTC. People just run to the corner drug store and pick them up, no doctor's appt or prescription needed.
I wonder if any of the people posting, 'If only there was some type of vaccine....' are going into the thread titled, 'What's a good compromise for abortion' and posting, 'If only there was some type of pill or device women could use....'
