I like Keane and McMaster even though Keane was a Fox News contributor but this is not a big deal and within his rights.

So what is the issue with the new appointments.
It is a big deal, it has not been done in the history of our country. The military is one of the few things that has managed to stay bipartisan, and it needed to stay that way. Based on the way it is set up in the regulations Biden is supposed to replace two people every year during his presidency.... just like every other president since 1847.

Sean Spicer was a Commander in the Naval Reserves and attended the Naval War College. He may not have been my first choice but he is qualified to do it. I agree the appointment of Conway was ludicrous.

I'm sure there are other perfectly qualified candidates other than Spicer who did not serve as press secretaries.

What do you really know about Sean Spicer? He actually is somewhat qualified to serve on that board. Kellyanne, on the other hand is not.

Boards are advisory -- they aren't the regulatory bodies of schools, institutions, companies.

People are asked to sit on the board not because they have direct skill sets related to what the institution operates as.

Private companies, schools have a variety of people on their boards.

No doubt Trump handed Conway the board appointment as a 'parting gift. It's an easy gig - you show up once or twice a year if that and get paid almost 100K.

Unless these people have been creating turmoil or disrupting the board, there is no need to demand their resignation.

Historically these positions don't get changed with administrations.

It is seemingly petty -- there is no question about it. Will it influence me to change my vote -- no --- no --- no......

It is petty but in the greater scheme of things it has little impact on me.
