I hear some liberals saying that unvaccinated American citizens should not be given medical services in the ICU, but what about the illegal aliens who shouldn't be here in the first place? They too are taking up valuable and highly limited space, and it seems criminal that an honest citizen would have to give up his space, and at risk of his life, to someone who broke into our country.
What say you? For the purpose of this discussion, let's limit it to fully vaccinated Americans and illegal aliens.

Is this really a problem? How many illegal immigrants are taking up space in ICUs that are full? I haven’t seen any data on the issue.

And it is likely we never will because apparently immigration status is a privacy issue but vaccination status isn't.
Unless you want to believe that there are no illegal aliens in the US, any illegal alien that happens to be in the US are all fully vaccinated, or they are super healthy individuals that will never contract COVID or end up in the hospital. It would stand to reason that there are illegal aliens, and possibly a significant percentage in hospitals and ICUs.

Texas might have that issue, I imagine. No one has answered when reporters have asked. Saw it a couple of times at live news conferences, they just sort of pretend the person asking is whistling or something.

Hospitals are private businesses... they are for profit. Most private businesses have the right turn people away if they cannot pay for services or goods rendered.
Hospitals are the only private businesses not allowed to turn away a person who cannot pay. People know this and take advantage of the system. Show up in a time of need and then not pay leaving the rest of us with the bill. This goes for everyone who is irresponsible for not having insurance or the means to cover medical expenses... Illegal or not.
If an illegal immigrant has the means to pay for it.... by all means.. its not hospitals job nor responsibility to deal with the illegal immigration problem. Like it isn't the responsibility for a private store/restaurant to check for customers' status when an illegal patrons their establishment. Yes we have an illegal immigration problem but a private business's operation isn't the vehicle to solve it.
I know it is draconian.....
