Biden is human scum. this will create lots of strikes and work shortages ten fold.

Don't forget that it is vaccine or testing, dear. Try to remember that OSHA is protecting all workers with the plans and requirements you are trashing.

FYI: Your indignation over President Biden’s enhanced measures to stamp out the devastating virus that causes this pandemic places you in the minority. It turns out a substantial majority of Americans are with Biden on this.

The latest CNN poll finds: More than half of Americans now say they support requiring vaccinations for office workers returning to the workplace (54%), students attending in-person classes (55%) and patrons attending sporting events or concerts (55%). Support for these mandates has risen across the board since April, growing 6 percentage points with regard to students, 8 points regarding office workers and event attendees.

The latest Axios-Ipsos poll shows that 60 percent of Americans (including about 30 percent of Republicans) approve of vaccination requirements for federal workers and employees at firms with at least 100 workers. Moreover, only one in five (20%) Americans say they are not likely to get the coronavirus vaccine, the lowest level since polls started tracking this. Hard opposition, those not at all likely, has dropped to 14% of adults.

Quote:
A Morning Consult-Politico poll is even more striking. The poll reports: Roughly 3 in 5 U.S. adults think the White House plan will result in reduced covid-19 cases and increased vaccination rates.” Overall, 58 percent favor vaccine mandates or weekly testing, including 33 percent of Republicans. In addition, 62 percent are in favor of encouraging states to require covid-19 vaccinations for all school employees; 60 percent support a vaccination mandate for most health care workers without the ability to opt out through regular testing; and 56 percent support the same rule for most federal workers and contractors. Interestingly, the numbers remain roughly the same whether it is the federal government or state or local government doing the mandating.

In these polarized times, it is remarkable that Biden’s coronavirus proposals get around 60 percent support, especially because the GOP has decided to turn the issue into a culture-war freakout. This follows a similar pattern we saw on the American Rescue Plan. Congressional Republicans unanimously opposed it, but a significant majority of Americans — including a chunk of Republicans — approved the legislation.

Dear OP, your talking points are.... well just GOP talking points.

Peace & health to all.

Disgusting. How many did Hitler’s mandate affect?

To be clear OP, what you've really missed is the truth: The fact that this isn’t really a vaccine mandate has gotten almost completely lost in this thread & this forum's numerous hysteria laden "debates" fueled by the GOP and their media mouthpieces. The federal government has mandated vaccination or weekly testing for employees of large companies.

You could just as easily call it a testing mandate with a vaccination opt-out.
Weekly testing the target 80M Americans is impossible to track and enforce. It's a "workaround" to the Constitutional limitations of the President, as retweeted by the White House Chief of Staff Ronald Klain.

It is nothing more than an attempt to coerce private enterprise into mandating vaccinations.

A lot of people are angry. I think this mandate will run smack into a lot of lawsuits. And governors in somemof the red states ( including ours, in Florida, are telling ol'Joe to go to hell with his vaccine mandates.

I'm hoping the "mandate" will come back to bite ol'Joe and his handlers in the butt.

OSHA is only protecting all workers if weekly testing is also required for the vaccinated as they are actively catching/spreading COVID.

I am a libertarian no company should be able to tell you what to put in your body. This virus is way over hyped. Those Republicans are wrong too.

Who pays for the tests? Testing once a week could be expensive.

Personally, I think that's kinda funny....
Most companies are small, but most people are employed by large companies.

That "most companies unaffected" line is unadulterated propaganda. It's using a specific statistic which looks solid to make you believe something that isn't true.

And it won't stay limited to companies with 100 employees, if allowed to stand. It will apply to them all, eventually. Government never pulls back. It only pushes harder over time.

As well as yours are Democrat talking points, I don’t care about what cnn polls says, forcing a mandate to not allow someone to work because they aren’t vaccinated is unconstitutional.

Congressional exemption is justified as the president has no constitutional authority over Congress. It is a clear separation of powers issue. Pelosi makes the laws in the House. I don't get the Post Office exemption though. Labor union politics I presume.

Just this morning our CEO announced that we too will be required to vaccinate as a condition of employment (2,000 employees). No details yet on how it will be enforced, but there will be medical and religious exemptions, no political exemptions.
