Everything hinges on Chinese home prices, and that market is beginning to shake.
Chinese people don't really invest in the stock market - not the way most people think. They invest in real estate. And they invest in real estate BECAUSE they believe it will always go up and it always goes up BECAUSE Chinese people buy it.
The very best explanation for all this if found here. 18 minutes of hard core information.

In the end, China will be unable to fund an enormous military.

I'm pretty sure that if China showed up to invade (very unlikely), liberals would be fighting along side of them to conquer the US, or would indirectly support them.

Liberals are like having "Fifth Columnists" within your own borders.

Plus it's questionable if the CCP is stupid enough to launch an attack on territory they are trying to own. They don't even have fresh air in Beijing.

People there buy fresh air from USA and UK as souvenirs. Literally Pay for air in bottles.

You really need to preface that with 'barring nukes'

The economic disaster that would result from not being able to sell Chinese goods in the US, would be much more destructive than a nuke imo.

That would impact nearly every retail store in the nation!

Is it my imagination but is there some eerie similarities with the collapse of the Japanese economy in the early 1990s?
