So capitalism doesn't involve greed? Then tell me why I had to go back to my job and many others had to go back to the office once the vaccine became widely available?

If I threw my personal experiences out the window and relied on the media to interpret the statistics for me, I would be vaccinated and hiding in my basement alone with a mask on. I have relatives that still wont leave the house, have been vaccinated, awaiting a booster shots and think the world is crumbling around them. Its very sad. Meanwhile, there is pretty much nothing different about my life than it was 3 years ago because not only have a stopped watching the news but I stopped listening to peoples opinions and suggestions and move on with my life.
If one chooses not to get vaccinated that is their body their choice. I just hope for everyone that was vaccinated (not in a high risk category), that in 10 years from now you wont see any side effects that are unknown at this time.

Yeah a lot of people say crap to me like "so it's about feelings not reality" What else is physiology except feelings? Yeah we are humans and humans have feelings. How would it not stand to reason that sometimes feelings can be reality?
If I threw mine out, I would be doing a lot worse off health wise and I'd probably lose a lot of money too.
The weird thing is we didn't like Trump partially because he was offensive so clearly feelings mattered then but some of those same people now disregard feelings.

You are being misinformed to meet a narrative and agenda.
The vaxx does NOT stop the spread. Fact.
It suppresses symptoms. It’s like Tylenol.
Stop drinking the Koolaid.
I am not anti-vax. It definitely has benefits.
Covid is not going away. Fact. Nothing is going to eradicate this virus.
It’s the nu-flu. Stop falling prey to the fear mongering and misinformation by the government.
They are pitting us against each other. We all need to stand together and get the truth out.

Using the word 'nasty' is, well, poor debating technique. You don't have to like the vaccine, but perhaps the way to say it is something like 'I choose not to take it because I have concerns', followed by a hearty 'but I'm masking and social distancing so I'm not a contributor to the pandemic!'
Show me some facts or a credible source that there are significant severe reactions and deaths and not a statistically small number of outliers. Gateway Pundit, Epoch Times, individual anecdotes, and the like are not credible, by the way.

no this is very very very personal! I don't care about statistics. I don't care about the crappy cdc. i dont care about you and your debating technique.I care if my family member lives or dies from an severe adverse reaction to one of your crappy vaccines. its very apparent you and others don't give a darn about any individual, any family except the ones that bow down and kiss the grd you and the your govt walk on.

Maybe not to me personally, but if you give me the virus, it may not kill me, but it might kill my children who are not able to get the vaccine yet.

I like it! Same sort of thing with how my smoking is a threat to you even if you don't smoke?
All different shades of the same gray, but you get the picture. Most do anyway...

Anyhow...I probably don’t need to explain this again, but since this is such a long thread, evidently I do need to explain this again.
People who aren’t vaccinated present a more fertile host to the virus than ones who aren’t. With more fertile hosts, the virus has more “labs” to experiment with, as it were, or to mutate and become variants like Delta. Even though vaccines are not 100% effective, they are effective at tamping infection rates down enough to help prevent the emergence of new variants which can threaten even the vaccinated folks.
That in a nutshell is the threat that unvaccinated people pose to vaccinated ones. That’s not political and this question doesn’t belong in the politics forum, IMHO, because this is a question whose answers can’t depend on politics if anybody genuinely wants to get out of this kerfuffle. Virus particles certainly aren’t going to stop and check your party affiliation.

This thread is not long because more explaining is necessary. Not by a long shot!
This thread is long like so many of the others for the same reason I explained before. Simple as that. Also as explained in this article/podcast that was passed along to me yesterday...
YANSS 198 – The psychological mechanisms that led to the the storming of the Capitol, an event that sprang from a widespread belief in a conspiracy theory that, even weeks later, still persists among millions
https://youarenotsosmart.com/2021/02...ersists-among/
What also intrigues me is why the Republicans tried this recall vote in California when we all know the integrity of our voting system can't be trusted.

"The vax does not stop the spread..."
Totally true. No one EVER said it does.
It reduces the spread.
Fact.

You clearly haven't been paying attention.
"Our data from the CDC today suggests that vaccinated people do not carry the virus, don't get sick. And that it's not just in the clinical trials, but it's also in real-world data."
--CDC Director Walensky
