What people seem to forget (or is it willful ignorance) is that we have cures now that we didn't have before. No one should be dying. Yet doctors are still telling patients to go home and wait until they can't breathe. They should be giving them Ivermectin and Zelenko Protocol vitamins. If after three or four days they get worse, then go to the hospital. No need to clog up hospitals but politically for the Left more deaths are great. What an evil bunch.
Maybe the doctors are trying to play it safe, and not wishing to get caught up in potential lawsuits? It might be up to the patients to ask the doctor for therapeutics and prophylaxis.
You are comparing apples and oranges. Your example is an individual choice that only affects the individual. The choice or "freedom" of people to not get the vaccine actually hurts all of society. That's why you are not free to yell fire in a crowded theater.
We could also start ordering people to change other behaviors which cause them to need hospitalization. Those patients decrease then there should be enough room for everyone. Of course these other behaviors affect society. But we allow for freedom of choice to eat, smoke, take drugs, speed, in some states you don't have to wear a seatbelt, etc.
I see very dangerous traffic violations happening in front of police and they don't do a thing, and they will be doing less as society continues in its apathy to decline to third world status. We just had a single car crash that wiped out a family, because of speed and inattention - preventable. EMS keep Narcaning the same addicts who got that way because of big Pharma opiates, and they never get arrested or put into rehab and the billionaire Oxycontin pushers got away with it.
And you want to tell everyone to get stabbed with some new kind of mrna injection because social trust and responsibility.
The viral load expelled from people that have been vaccinated is measurably lower.
Why can't you recognize that fact?
This is not 100% fact, and you putting it forward as such and doubling down on it is just as harmful as the other people with their Illuminati theories.
Yes, there is evidence that, especially with Delta, the viral loads are similar. Though, I believe, it is for a shorter period of time. And then there's the advantages that infection is generally not serious, etc, etc.. But.. Presenting viral load as fact is incorrect.

Now, that being said.. Monoclonal antibodies are a legit therapy.. Not necessarily a cure, but they are proven to work. So, there certainly are better therapies available now than there were at the start.
Why do people even start these threads? The anti vaxxers have their belief, whether political or not and the vaxxers have theirs. No word twisting by either side is going to change anyone's mind so really what is the point.
I ask this question pretty much every day when I browse this forum...
Of course the topic doesn't matter either. If only people spent less time in their own "echo chambers" and spent more time paying close attention to this dynamic that keeps people from considering these topics objectively...

About the only thing these threads prove is that a whole lot of people have a whole lot of time to waste. I'm retired too. Glad I no longer have to worry about changing the minds of people who can't help but get in the way of progress...
If you are vaxxed and I am not, please explain how that's a threat to you.
If the virus remains in circulation for a longer length of time, and becomes more widespread, the greater the chance it mutates into forms that are stronger against the vaccine. Vaccinated people are less likely to spread the virus. The virus is spreading mainly among the unvaccinated. That’s how unvaccinated people are a threat. The more the unvaxxed resist vaccination, the longer this pandemic will last.
I can’t wait until the 5th wave when the people with 4 shots are blaming it on the people with 3 shots.
