Glad at least one Republican figured it out:
https://www.washingtonpost.com/polit...ersary-speech/

“There is little cultural overlap between violent extremists abroad and violent extremists at home,” Bush said in a speech at the Flight 93 National Memorial in Shanksville. “But in their disdain for pluralism, in their disregard for human life, in their determination to defile national symbols — they are children of the same foul spirit, and it is our continuing duty to confront them.”

He wasn't explicitly comparing the two. But, it would be totally wrong to do so. Those terrorists were Islamic Extremists. The people who stormed the Capitol were idiots, but they didn't have a driving force behind them, according to the FBI.

Bush compares 1/6 insurrectionists to 9/11 terrorists

If he said that he'd be right.

Link appears to be behind a paywall, but if Bush really made that comparison, it's dumb. It was dumb all along to refer to 1/6 as an insurrection. Since even the FBI concluded otherwise, it is now doubly dumb to use that word.

In an amusing boner, Chuck Schumer (D,NY) called it an 'erection.' Maybe he was thinking of his old buddy Antony Weiner. Weiner started his career as an intern for Schumer.

Quite humorous considering what actually happened, quite humorous indeed. Every day with swamp creatures is like live action theater it seems like.

Watch the left suddenly show love for Bush. Same as they did with McCain, but only after he expressed disdain for Trump.
