Crime soars in Minneapolis as cops fear being unfairly targeted in woke viral videos

What else do you think all the riots were for, in the Summer 2020-2021?

As long as they keep that **** in Minneapolis who cares?

It's a local problem that the locals decided upon.

Better there than here.

The same thing is happening all over the country. Crime and violence have soared in Portland. The city government shrugs their shoulders.

  • In-depth analysis shows policing plunged in Minneapolis starting last June
  • Traffic stops dropped 74% and and foot patrols plunged 69%
  • Cops were apparently reluctant to engage after furor over George Floyd's death
  • Some even slow down their response to calls in hopes suspects will leave first
  • But fewer stops meant fewer people being searched for drugs and guns
  • Residents say the city has become a 'gangster's paradise' for criminals
  • Murders in Minneapolis are on track to reach a 20-year high

Crime soars in Minneapolis as cops fear being unfairly targeted in woke viral videos: Traffic stops drop by 74% and problem area patrols by 76% in wake of George Floyd death and de-fund police movement
Any sane person saw this coming. I feel no pity for the idiots who keep reelecting Democrats in MN. You reap what you sow

This is why republicanism is so great. Cities and states can vote for and implement all the stupid woke, socialist counterproductive crap they like, they can destroy themselves all they want, and it does not have to affect me.

Bingo

The city asked for it and is reaping what they’ve sown.

If I were an officer I'd be concerned that even if I did things correctly someone might send a video with the first part chopped off to the media saying that we just grabbed the guy for no reason and *boom* it's off to the races.

At that point, people make up their minds and refuse to change them...death threats...calls for firing...heck your own mayor might turn on you for political reasons.

Eventually your side might get out but by then you've been eaten alive.

Minnesota has always been looked upon as one of those great places to move because Minneapolis was a beautiful area and the cold was said to keep out the riff-raff, but in reality it's because the state is a gridlock state... it has mixed democrat and republican leadership. The democrat Minneapolis area decided to embrace woke culture with a soft on crime mentality, so they'll have the same problems that other cities like Portland have had. They also had a governor making statements along the lines that if their citizens didn't like immigrants they could get out.
