You go back far enough, you'll find terrible people in everyone's family history.
Especially when people today aren't being held accountable for things their children do. I'd love to see them start that in Chicago.

"If you don't vote for me you ain't black"

Break the chains, leave the Party.

People can leave any time they want. Political allegiance is 100% voluntary, there is nothing at all holding people to a political party.

So??? He's not responsible for what his ancestors did.

I'm descended from Sephardic Jews who ran a coffee farm on the island of Jamaica. They may have owned slaves too. I don't feel guilty about it, because I wasn't involved. If they did, they did. It's not something I'm going to feel ashamed about.

Everyone knows Biden is a true racist. Just nobody wants to talk about it.

There's no such thing as an "indirect descendant".

Indenture servants were in fact slaves, and their condition was worse than that of chattel slaves BECAUSE it was temporary.

They were like rental cars, Their masters had no incentive to preserve their value beyond their term of servitude.

I wonder when we’ll see a Hollywood movie on all the black slave owners we had in this country. I guess liberals aren’t ready for it.

My only known slave-holder ancestor lived in New York State in the 1700s and was given a slave in lieu of payment in a court settlement. Sojourner Truth was a slave in New York, not in the south. It is not only a southern states' "peculiar institution". It is not even "peculiar". Slavery and slave-holding are among the most persistent and permanent features of human history. We all are likely descended from one or the other or, more likely, both. Involuntary servitude has a lot of names and manifestations. The Roman gladiators, galley slaves, Irish captives, war prisoners, African slaves, Chinese and Arab slaves, Hebrew slaves in Egypt, and modern human trafficking are examples. Somebody always is happy to make money in the trade or in the unpaid labor of someone else. If you are going to point fingers, point at yourself.

Joe Biden would have no problem owning a few slaves, if he could get away from it.
