2nd reply.

This post has a new meaning after the murders in Memphis last week.

correction
The high rates of single parenthood is what matters. Anyone who cares about the truth fully understands the importance of guidance and why it's better for children to be raised in a two parent environment. Shame on you for deflecting from that in order to feel important.

It has no meaning at all and it's laughable that you think it is.
It's about the high rates of single parenthood.

I bring up Black murder rates BY STATE because these things vary. I care about the variation in socioeconomic dynamics by state, by city, and case by case.

It's meaningless. We know what the cause is. That is what matters. High rates of single parenthood.

In keeping this topic ON POINT, I look at the states with the highest Black murder rates. These are often the Rust Belt areas (Pennsylvania, Missouri, Indiana) or some of the Old South areas (Louisiana, Arkansas). I also not Alaska has seen an precipitous rise in its Black murder rates. Odd.

While it's mostly Black males being murdered (and committing murder), the Black female homicide rate (which is already the highest for any female demographic) has seen a 33% increase, higher than any other female demographic.

Unfortunate under any circumstance, but more unfortunate because the great majority are being killed by black men. Black men are behaving like polar bears.

At least certain kinds of Black men, mostly the thuggish underclass types. I'm also seeing am increase of Black women killing Black men. In the past year, I know of two Black female on Black male murders that took place in Huntsville. Both in the same apartment complex. Rage, anger, a scarcity of conflict-resolution skills. Individuals with a "shoot first, ask questions later" mindset.

Wisconsin is on state that stands big time. Historically, and even now, it has one of the lowest murder rates in America. It also has one of the lowest White homicide rates in America.

America's White homicide rate = 2.69 per 100,000
Wisconsin's White homicide rate = 2 per 100,000

Now, let's see how Wisconsin's Black homicide rate measures up vs America as a whole
America's Black homicide rate = 18.18 per 100,000
Wisconsin's Black homicide rate = 27.24 per 100,000

America's Black population = 13%
Wisconsin's Black population = 6.4% (Hispanics are now the largest minority in Wisconsin, at 7.6%).

Wisconsin has a markedly high Black murder rate. It's White murder rate is lower than average. Black Americans make up a much lower percentage of Wisconsin's population as a whole, relative to the American average. And yet, a far higher murder rate (and a high raw number of murders. Frequently 100 or more for a Black population around 367,000.

It is an interest of mine for these reasons.....
1) My father is from Milwaukee, born and raised. It is personal to me. During my college years I entertained the idea of moving there. But I have dialed back on that.
2) Wisconsin's large gap in White and Black murder rates seem go correspond with other things. Wisconsin has the high Black incarceration rate in America (Oklahoma and Arizona are also in the top 5 for Black incarceration rates. Oklahoma also has one of the worst Black murder rates). Wisconsin's Black/White incarceration ratio is 11.9, 2nd only to New Jersey (Hawaii and Georgia are among the lowest). Wisconsin also has one of the poorest Black populations in America.

I look at other things too. I am not trying to say one causes the other. I'm saying it's the tip of the iceberg.
