How many jobs are there in Alaska and Maine compared to the number of jobs in NY and CT?
Blacks are 13% of the U.S. population. 3.7% is quite small. There aren't that many jobs in Alaska or Maine. However for Maine, it's markedly lower.

New York and Connecticut, I don't know how many jobs are in those states. I do know that the cost of living in both states has driven some people away.

Very few of the black people outside the major cities are ever in trouble. KC and St Louis have been run by Democrats for years. The rural areas are Republican. Most of those in the cities are arrested over and over and turned loose again and again.
Do you know for a fact that the majority of young Black people in St. Louis and Kansas City are in drug gangs? Last I checked, St. Louis has 10,000 gang members (population 293,000).

Some of Virginia's cities are ran by Democrats. Norfolk is about 42% Black. Democratic city. Even with the recent rise in its homicide rate, it's still lower than St. Louis or Kansas City. Something else. Virginia is a Democratic state. Missouri is a Republican state.

Another example. Many of North Carolina's cities are ran by Democrats. Charlotte and Raleigh are as Democratic as they come. Same for Kansas City and St. Louis. Raleigh (population 467,000) had 30 murders last year. Charlotte (population 874,000) had 98 murders last year. Kansas City (population 500,000) had 155 murders last year. KCMO had more murders than Charlotte and Raleigh combined.

Missouri's rural areas are Republican. The cities with the murders are Democratic.

It's the same thing for Virginia and North Carolina. Urban areas (and Northern Virginia suburbs) lean Democratic while most rural areas are Republican. NC and VA still do much better.

It is because Democrats are soft on crime. The same people are arrested over and over.

That won’t stop the left from trying to cherry pick data to fit their narrative.

Then why are Democratic areas in NC and VA less violent than those in places like Michigan and Missouri?

None of this matters. It's just a way to deflect from the fact that 70% of black children are born out of wedlock as well as raised in a single parent environment and that is the reason for the high crime rates. The lack of supervision. 85% of males in prison grew up without a father.

Why did this person rob 4 people and this other person only rob 3? Who cares? It doesn't matter in the scheme of things.

Instead of asking about why the high murder rates are different, focus on the fact that they are high and quit ignoring the reason why.

Comments from like that from "blacks who don't identify as being black" make me laugh, considering that the average Joe walking past him on the street will STILL see him as black, and not give a damn where he's from, lol.

I bet he's "black" when it's convenient to be though.

Immigration and education.

Look at Maryland, within the same state you have Baltimore and outer PG County. Outer PG includes Bowie, MD, 50,000 people, majority African-American, with 1-2 homicides a year. It's college educated Black people working for the government with the same laws as Baltimore, which is pushing an annual murder rate of 60 per 100k.

Look at Boston, something like 2 homicides so far this year, 25% A-A but filled with immigrants - 35% foreign born vs. just 7% in Baltimore. The Bronx has a greater share of its population below the poverty line than Baltimore, but is 35% foreign born like Boston, and has 1/6th Baltimore's homicide rate. Low wage immigrants of all races tend to reduce homicide rates in larger cities. One reason why Boston, NY, SF, LA, Miami have much lower homicide rates than Baltimore, New Orleans, Jackson, Detroit, Cleveland, Memphis etc.
