Not sure you speak for "the country" here. From where I'm sitting, people with unfocused anger issues saw a soft target and went for it.
He's speaking of the small portion of the country who are tired of watching the constitution being ignored by every one from the President through the courts on down. You are obviously not one who is concerned about our Constitution rights. On Constitution day, btw.
I guess that means all of us who do care now have 'unfocused anger issues'.
Looks like the three tourists are black women. After years of being told that EVERYTHING must be looked at through the lens of race, society cannot ignore the racial aspect of this policy. This is the second video I'm aware of where black people were denied entry.
Many of us have sat though anti-racism training explaining how systemic racism manifests in disparate impact. That is, the intent of the policy isn't the issue, but how it actually affects people of color.
Well, here we are folks. Systemic, institutionalized racism in NYC, brought to you by the people who painted Black Lives Matter on Fifth Avenue. Good thing they painted that mural, because that is where the black citizens can sit and eat their take out food: the street. This is unreal.
The reasoning was likely: "We've got lots of black people who won't get vaccinated. If we block them out of jobs and normal life, that'll force them."
Do you REALLY believe what you're saying? Because little girl, I tell you the truth, this is two thousand and twenty-one, NOT nineteen fifty-one. And hardly anyone thinks the way you say they do anymore. Not like they did seventy years ago.
BTW, I agree with those who call out the fact they should not have resorted to violence. That is not the hill to fire the first shot on.
