It's amazing how many people won't take the simplest of actions to show compassion for their fellow human beings without being compelled by the gov't. I'm not talking about vaccines, either.
About a year and a half ago, the situation was this:
1. We're asking you to avoid crowds and groups. NOPE CAN'T DO IT.
2. We're asking you to be more vigilant about your own health. NOPE CAN'T DO IT.
3. We're asking you to consider staying put - away from work - if you can work at home. NOPE CAN'T DO IT.
4. We're asking you to avoid traveling so as not to spread a contagious disease. NOPE CAN'T DO IT.
5. We're asking you to cover your mouth when you cough, in case you're sick and don't know it. NOPE CAN'T DO IT.
And about 40 other things. At the time, none of them were mandates or orders or policies or anything else. Nope. Just a simple request, with no backbone, no gov't. overreach, no penalties - and ya just couldn't do it.
So now ya get what ya get. Whine and complain all you want - but the opportunity to do things YOUR way went out the door the first time you went dancing in a club a year ago. It's a contagious disease. Most recover, some do not. ALL OF THEM - even the dead ones - caught it from you, or someone like you.
Put this in the ever growing, very thick file of Things that Will Never Happen.

You probably thought the fake president, the governors, people who ordered lockdown, were MDs and scientists.

That “doctor” is just an political investigator for perhaps finding someone to blame. These things are common in many nations.
My comment was about the title which under current circumstances can be misleading. It’s not medicine - it’s politics….
And the point of all this is that the "pandemic panic', while justified in its early stages, has been over-hyped and politicized by those with their own agenda.
And at this point, some would-be nanny-stater will raise the usual hue and cry about the 60,000 who have died; that is an unfortunate fact, but the vast majority of those were elderly, obese, or had pre-existing health problems. And the occasional example of several family members dying in a short time-span raises the likelihood that genetic factors are also involved.
The role of the media in situations suchas this should be to provide basic facts -- and to separate truth from rumor and hype.
But there will always be those who seek to "simplify" for reason of political gain -- and those with limited understanding and verbal skills who will swallow the story whole, and demonize all those in opposition:

Well, thanks for reminding the vaccinated people how they are supposed to behave, given that they can be infected and spread COVID---except that "We're asking" doesn't apply if "We" means CDC.
Yep. How many people die in a normal year (USA)? NOT of covid - but of anything?
Answer? 1%. Yep. You have a 99% chance of living all year long.
So your response - that if the whole country got it (which is where we're headed) "only" 1% would die - that's exactly twice as many as die all year long from all other causes combined.
So - yep - I'd say it's worth considering. A year ago - no. Now? Yep.
Meantime - vaccinated people can be infected - and transmit it - but at a statistically lower rate (for infections). If the whole planet caught it at the "vaccinated" rate - it would have never left China, or, if so, barely noticeable to the people that count such things. Italy would have never happened. NYC would have never happened.
I don't know. Perhaps we should ask Dr. Jill Biden?
She hasn't been giving medical advice.

And yet the title Dr. was politicized in her case in an attempt to hurt her husband's election chances. If she can't use it because she's not a physician, probably a lawyer arguing about medical issues would be using it even more inappropriately.
If it's good for one it's good for the other. If it's not good for one it's not good for the other.
