I already explained to you how it works.

You guys don’t like the answer because you can’t spit in the face of a 16-year-old clerk who tells you to put on a mask.

As far as what it has to do with Team Trump they obviously don't understand property rights as evident by the anti-mask meltdowns in stores.

I'm not vaxxed. If my landlord wants to boot me out of here for that or because it's 71 degrees on a Tuesday or he doesn't give a reason...that's his right. Not difficult to understand.
y'all have very different leases then in your state.

It's not "evicting the unvaxxed" anyway. You can't do that. They just refuse to renew the lease. And unvaxed person with good credit and income won't have any issue finding a new place to live.

In return, it’s going to cause a issue with rental property availability, especially for people that took advantage of not paying any rent since March 2020.

Honesty, all you need to do is look at your local Craigslist to see how many people are looking for a place to rent, verse the availability of apartments or rooms at this time.

It’s sad that too many people took advantage of this federal order cuz these selfish individual will cause some serious issues for the people who were truly affected by covid.
if you were a "mom and pop landlord" whose tenants kept up with the rent, why would you sell? Rent delinquencies at the beginning of the month (well, the 6th) are running about 28%. Most of those have been catching up by the end of the month in the 95% range.

Of course, presumably most of those people (late on the 5th, paid by EOM) are likely on the hamster wheel of near 30-day delinquency.

Many years ago when I was living in Pittsburgh I got denied an apartment because, as the landlord told me,

"You people, once you move in, like to move your whole families in."

He told me it over the phone a day or two after the showing. He was a white guy probably in his 50s. Pretty sure he was Irish.

I'm not sure what he thought I was as in terms of my racial/ethnic background because I don't even have the full scoop on my heritage. I'm mixed, mostly black, and have the phenotype (IMO) of an Afro-Dominican. Even that doesn't clear it up because verified Afro-Dominicans can vary widely in terms of appearance.

Anyway, I didn't run to anyone crying victim or spit in his face like we've seen with the anti-maskers in stores.

Just said, "Ok, have a good one" and got myself another pad.

Not sure what's so hard about that.
It has nothing to do with the market. It's individuals who have a fear of this pandemic acting irrationally.

Is "the market, the market" all you can sputter these days ?

Funny...any other "I'm not going to rent to you because xx" is discrimination.

But with the fear of death here it's perfectly fine to say "I'm not going to rent to you because you are unvaccinated".

Do these people plan to kick people out if they don't get boosters every 6 months ?

The idiots are turning into a majority here in America.

I wouldn’t doubt it

-first it was “only” 2 weeks quarantine
-then masks
-then get the jab or you can’t feed your family and find a place to live

The next logical (or illogical in this case) step is get the booster every year and submit your DNA test

The court challenges will fail. When the "discrimination" is complaint is from anti-vaxers, who are not a protected class. I don't think even the conservative Supreme Court will intervene. Besides, it makes more apartments available and more vacancies help minimize rent increases.

1st bolded - as a former landlord I can confirm that's a rat hole that'll be nothing but trouble.

2nd bolded: It doesn't. Trump just lives rent free in the mind of the poster you quoted.
