Tennesse or Michigan is irrelevant. The show was in Southern California, where mask mandates are in effect for little kids in school. So 6 year olds must wear a mask all day at school, but Hollywood celebrities can’t be bothered to wear one for a few hours. ***Even fully vaccinated older students must wear masks in school!!***
It’s more typical hypocrisy from Hollywood: the people who were working the event had to wear masks and the celebrities didn’t.. Is COVID able to distinguish between the nominees and the wait staff? Are celebrities immune from COVID? Is there a unique science separate for them that we don’t know about?
This is especially ridiculous given what people like Sean Penn have had to say about the unvaccinated. Wait until we find out that the vaccinated celebrities were super spreaders.

Yes, Los Angeles County re-instated its mask mandate in July. It specifically states, "Fueled by the quickening spread of the delta variant, the mask ordinance will go into effect late Saturday and will apply to everyone regardless of vaccination status."

And it's still in effect? If so, they all should have been masked. Zero excuses for their bad behavior.
Someone should have been there handing out citations or whatever. Seems like easy pickings for county code enforcement folks. <shrug>
