I hadn't heard that, so had to look it up

Biden administration extends deportation relief for Haitian immigrants, allows new applications

The Biden administration on Saturday announced it will extend deportation protections and work permits for 54,000 Haitian immigrants living in the U.S. with Temporary Protected Status (TPS) and allow tens of thousands of other eligible Haitians to request relief.

Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas said he will extend the TPS designation for Haiti by 18 months, allowing current recipients to renew their protections, which the Trump administration sought to end. Mayorkas also opened the program to new applicants, allowing eligible Haitian immigrants to apply for TPS as along as they had arrived in the U.S. by Friday, May 21.

Like magic, Haitians from Central America pour thru the US southern border seeking asylum. Looks like May 21 date has been ignored

You are correct but immigration policy is set by the Federal government.

The question is, is illegal-immigration bad for the United States? Why? Why is any immigration good for the United States?

The government spends money to educate children because those children grow up to work and pay taxes. Cities would save a lot of money if no one had children, but why would that be a good thing?

If the government wanted to you to be free there wouldn't be so many laws. If the government wanted to improve the lives of its citizens, no one would be homeless.

But you are correct, the government wants the country to prosper. But what does it mean to prosper?

Yes. The government isn't run by idiots, even if it seems like it. The United States isn't a superpower because the rabble voted.

Correct, when Biden halted deportations, it opened the flood gates.

It was open borders for illegal Haitians everywhere, mostly from Chile.

Wrong. Illegal immigration was at its lowest under Trump.

We should find a way to make our government follow the laws on the books. Either that or have the states enforce the law and dare the federal government to try and stop them.
To think the federal government can purposely allow in thousands of illegal aliens (some of which are criminals, terrorists, disease carriers, etc.) despite the laws on the books, saying they must protect our border must be enforceable in some fashion.

Maybe we need a Cesar Chavez type solution;

Illegal-immigration had been declining pretty steadily since 2006. There was a pretty big spike 2019, but dropped again in 2020, now it is spiking again in 2021.

Here is another short video touching upon the term illegal alien. One wonder if CA can go against federal law such as so called sanctuary cities, redefining illegal aliens, etc., why cant other states ignore the federal government and keep their citizens safe?

The fact is illegal immigration will be highest under Biden.

Biden halted Hatian deportations in May, and that was their signal to pack up and head to America.
