SUVs are stupid IMHO but I don’t think they’re what’s responsible for what you’re describing. Maybe it’s just the presence of LEOs and not the vehicles. Bringing trifling details like that to the fore feels more like a ploy to put down EVs or something than any genuine part of this piece of news.

I've always been amazed by the hypocrisy of Texas when it comes to illegal immigration. There is no state in the union that has a greater percentage of illegals on someone's payroll than Texas. The state economy would collapse overnight without them. The politicians howl to the moon about illegals entering at the same time Texas ranchers, farmers and businesses hire every one of them they can.
It seems Abbot and DeSantis are in a race to see who can out-stupid the other with some headline grabbing stunt. With three years to the election and a few other R govs eyeing a run, it can only go downhill from here.
