This is how the media seems to be reporting the Kyle Rittenhouse case. I noticed on The View the footage was not even correct and they don’t even mention self defense. It’s so ridiculous. I do agree that he shouldn’t have been there in the first place but what is he supposed to do if he is going to be attacked?
His father lived in Kenosha, his job was in Kenosha, his friends were in Kenosha, and it was less than 20 minutes from his house. He had just as much business being there as anyone else. Was it a bad decision to go there on the night of a riot? Yep, it was. Making a bad decision to go someplace, however, doesn't negate the right to defend yourself from people who are attacking you.
Would you also tell a rape victim that it served them right for going to a bar? What you're trying to do is called victim shaming, because Rittenhouse was the victim of attempted assault. The fact that he was able to defend himself is the only thing that kept Rosenbaum from killing him.

Don’t compare a rape victim to KR. A woman sitting in a bar, or raped isn’t comparable to a young man arming himself with an illegal gun and purposely going into harms way.

Came at him? Shooting into the air is not coming at someone. If Kyle was scared, he could have left. But no, he was too hopped up on being a vigilante.
It's not that you can't defend yourself, it's that you can't rely on liberals to ever be honest about anything. Their vision of reality, right and wrong, moral and immoral, ethical and unethical, is so skewed that every day feels like opposite day when you listen to them.

Did you even read what happened? He tried to leave and was attacked. The 3rd guy even pointed a gun at him.

One came at him to hit him on the head with a skateboard. That can easily kill him if hit in the right place.

...using that logic....the rioters shouldn't have been there either
if they didn't go there to riot..in the first place...they wouldn't have been shot

In some states, including mine, you can defend property with deadly force.
Sure ya can. But why go out of your way to go to a wild crowd and bring a gun knowing what can go wrong?
