If you're job is/was essential, it would have a place outside of govt employment
i.e. you'd have people voluntarily spending their own money to purchase your labor/skills.
I don't work for the federal government. I work for a company that gets contracts with the federal government. My company is spending money for my skills, not the government. All I see from your comments is a jerk mentality.

This statement shows you have no concept of the proper role of government.

The Government is like the Sun in your scenario. "Private Citizens with power" are like small planets, comparatively.
The most powerful entity on Earth is the US Federal government.
No, in reality, the most powerful entity is the invisible force that steers the government, that we don't see. Much like the wind that drive a sailboat, you can't see it, but if you understand how things work, you know it is there.

Very true. (Except that they are Leftist. The left "liberal" in the dust, years ago.)

Less cheating, in the next election, would suffice.

(Just like the riots all summer and fall of 2020 were "mostly peaceful.")

You work for a company that after skimming its take off the top, pays you with tax dollars.
You're calling it a "jerk mentality" because you dont want to accept the fact that you are tax consumer, not a taxpayer.

Actually, you are the one lying. I pay taxes. And because I'm single with no kids, the tax man comes for me big time. I'm calling it jerk mentality because some of those are my tax dollars too. What you are saying is that if I'm working for anyone who has ANYTHING to do with any form of government, whether it's an actually government entity, or a company that makes its money providing services to a government entity, I'm somehow a leech. At least I'm working. I actually have a skill. My skills involve me working on computers, working with sketches, maps, etc. Not my fault some companies didn't give me a second look, while an engineering firm who provides services to government entities saw talent in me. That is why I say your mentality is a jerk mentality.
You cant be a taxpayer if you're paid with tax dollars, It just means you'll take fewer tax dollars for your efforts.
