Historical revisionism notwithstanding, "evil" Mother Nature got rid of 90% of the Indians, via pestilence.
The Amerindians were not victims of European genocide - it was their diseases that cleared them out.
For example, the Spanish explorer Francisco de Orellana, the 16th century explorer who was the first European to traverse the Amazon River, reported densely populated regions, with extensive agriculture, running hundreds of kilometers along the river, suggesting population levels exceeding even those of today.
But later explorers found the region depopulated, a jungle rainforest, and the culture reduced to stone age implements. His stories were disbelieved for hundreds of years.
Only recently, archaeologists discovered evidence of a mighty civilization that vanished shortly after the arrival of Orellana. Eurasian diseases are the major suspects.
Coincidentally, Orellana's reports of extensive agriculture in the Amazon watershed overturn the "Green" belief that the rainforest should be sacrosanct from development.

Yeah, I do not see what was offensive, the image sows a respectful image of a nice looking woman. It's not like she was a gross characterization or something. what's next, changing the names of the cities and towns with Native American names?
Agreed, The image shows a pretty lady, not overtly sexualized, in attractive native apparel, surrounded by magnificent trees and a lake, advertising a wholesome product (dairy). What's not to like about it?
As a child, I liked seeing this lovely Indian maiden. I also thought the Danish girl's face on Knudsen dairy products was attractive and wholesome. I loved Aunt Jemima and Uncle Ben -- two dignified adults whose smiling, welcoming faces made me automatically trust their products. Decades ago I also thrilled to the fact that certain T.V. dinners were called "man-sized" and were for "hungry men." That told me (correctly or not) that the dinners consisted of large portions. Today such labeling would no doubt be seen as sexist by some. As would Mrs. Olson and her coffee-making suggestions.
Then there was (is?) Jimmy Dean and his sausage ... but that's another story.
I'll always remember with fondness Uncle Ben, Aunt Jemima, the Indian and Danish dairy ladies, man-sized dinners, and Mrs. Olson. Jimmy Dean I can skip (no offense meant, Jimmy!).
The Land O Lakes image was paying respect to the history and culture of the native Americans of Minnesota.
But some woke-tard wanted to empower themselves to force others to bend to their will. It's a real power trip for these people. Canceling people and things makes them feel alive, and relevant. So they pick out an image of a non-white person, work themselves into a faux rage. Then convinced others, who also have empty pampered and depressing lives that need filling.
After the collapse of Socialism, things will get very very rough for "Snowflakes" and "Wokees".
It's hard to get upset over trivia when you're exhausted from trying to stay alive from one day to the next.
Same theory applies to American Indian sports mascots. Schools & sports teams chose Indian mascots, because they respected (& hoped to channel) their fighting spirit. Teams choose Lions, Eagles, & Vikings.. mascots/logos are chosen for their admirable qualities & power.
I understand objections to offensive stereotypes, but the Left has thrown out the proverbial baby w/the bath water. I think the Land O Lakes Indian could've/should've been spared, it wasn't a gross caricature (& one of the incarnations of their logo was created by an Ojibwe Indian).
The assertion that all Indian logos are inherently designed to degrade American Indians isn't factual, and usually has no substantiation. My opinion, this is about who gets to control cultural imagery. The Left has currently gained control.
I loved my grammar school Big Chief tablets. The handsome Indian chief's face radiated intelligence, nobility, and strength. Even as a kid I picked up on those sterling qualities. There was no denigration of native Americans at all.

Speaking of grade school, we had native Americans and Mexicans and Indians, and the bullies only picked on the red heads and fat kids. And yeah, any time we played cowboys and Indians there was a fight over which side got to play the Indians, because they were the ones we respected. Where as cops and robbers, everyone wanted to be the cops
Nothing is safe. Women innocently wearing hoop earrings become the targets of these woke-tards. Nothing is too mundane to throw these wokesters into a faux rage, where they demand you must change your lifestyle to suit them. And we are all supposed to just go along with their never ending demands, cuz it's just earrings, just the name for John Wayne Airport, and just a harmless face on a cereal box.
Well it was for about 100 years. But people today are woke and "feel the pain" of slavery every time they see that box of pancake mix.
Just realized that Uncle Ben's rice has gone PC as well. One more thing that I'll never buy again.
Most everything hurts the wokesters feelings. Nothing’s safe.
