And let’s not mention the fact that many of these Haitians have been living in South America countries for well over a decade. According to asylum rules, they have to seek asylum in the first country they arrive, not country-shopping around.

And let’s also not to mention they have to seek asylum at an official port of entry instead of bum rushing across the river

When your country is far worse than it was under European control, you’ve done something terribly wrong.

You don’t get to run back to white people for salvation and asylum after blaming them for your troubles. Liberals claim afghans need to stay and fight for their country, and it’s the same concept here.
You do realize Haiti was a slave society, where the majority of black citizens had no rights. Also their wasn’t a modicum of modernity in Haiti as a colony. So not only was GDP per capita for black citizens of Haiti around 0 dollars. Life expectancy was lower than even now, and paved roads didn’t exist largely because modern road construction didn’t exist back then. So using wha floriculture was Haiti better under European leadership.

Haitians are cool people, but I don’t know if their should be encouragement of people coming to America from another country where asylum was already sought. It makes no sense to promote it. America has a proper process and borders for a reason. It’s one thing if the Chilean government was kicking them out but as others said, asylum seekers shouldn’t present itself as an opportunity to country-shop.
The only exception I could see if going to French speaking Maine or Quebec because of the challenges of learning a new language at an advanced age. But the majority of Haitians I know can speak good English (I do only know a few).

"The governor also signed an executive order prohibiting state agencies from helping undocumented immigrants sent to the state. He said the Biden administration won’t give them a heads up on how many people are arriving or are already present.

“We’re entitled to know, given that we bear the cost of most of this with our services, our criminal justice system, our education system,” DeSantis said. “We’re entitled to know what’s going on here.”"

So of the few Haitians that actually got a degree-only 1/5 remain in the country? Doesn't say much about what's left, does it?

Now, I could support immigration for some Haitians. Those with an education in a field where there are productive jobs, the ability to speak English, skilled trades, or with businessmen bringing a business into this country. Same as any other country. Not unskilled, uneducated illiterates that are a burden on the US taxpayers.

Haiti never really recovered from the last earthquake and when this one hit after the murder of the prime minister most just gave up. They need to be helped somehow, if not here then in Haiti.

When does the Biden administration tell the truth …we’ll still waiting. How long can we continue to take in illegal immigrants? People should be able to immigrate legally.
But they are only visiting, and won't be staying long, so no big deal. Or so the lying Psaki said.

Those people have always had a dysfunctional government, dead president or not. Why is it always the US who needs to "help" these people?? If all anyone in any country has to do is throw up their hands "my give up," and violate US immigration laws to reside in the US, why would anyone ever bother to fix their own damn countries?

There is absolutely no doubt that this latest wave (and future ones as well) have been emboldened by seeing and hearing through the grapevine that thousands were actually released into the U.S.
