If he breaks the law, and ignores a subpoena, he deserves to be arrested.
It would happen to you and/or me.

Anyone who thinks that they can just issue a legal subpeona to individuals that are/were in the Executive branch of government has no knowledge as to how the government works.

I think he was just remarking and it was a slow news day. Im putting my chips on "Rove will never be arrested." He's way too smart. (or, "slippery")

I do look forward to what indictable evidence Conyers, the House Committee on the Judiciary, the Office of Special Counsel, and anyone else, manages to come up with. Ever. On any of these guys.

Conyers has to be re-elected this year in order to keep this investigation from derailing. Too bad it's taking so long.

The House of Representatives has the power to arrest.

It would unless you happened to have powerful friends who had the Department of Justice in their hip pocket. In that case, maybe you just figure that you're above the law...any law...

You must have only read have the sentence previously posted, because it has the power to arrest, but the executive branch has the powers to resist, legally.

You're not exactly one to be calling others onto the carpet over a lack of understanding of how the government works. As was correctly alluded to in the YouTube loop that you apparently didn't watch, under the powers of inherent contempt, the Congress can go around a Department of Justice that refuses to act on enforcement of a Congressional contempt citation by ordering the Sergeant at Arms and the Capitol Police to arrest the offender, who may then be brought to trial at the bar of the House, and if convicted by the House, detained until the term of that Congress expires.

Yes, Rove could go hide out in the White House and have Bush surround it with federal troops ordered to prevent the Capitol Police from entering. The Supreme Court would have that matter very quickly under expedited review. Don't count on having Roberts' vote on this one.
