Those 3 words democrats keep repeating -"the big lie" - makes them sound even more fraudulent, a cult that keep repeating what their masters have told them....
You mean like ...
"lock-her-up!'
or
"build-that-wall!"
or "stop-the-count!" in one state while simultaneously chanting "count-the-votes!" in another state? These were going on at the same time. "baaa, baaa, baaa-a"
Then of course ...
"stop-the-steal!"
... all the while there has never been a shred of evidence to support Trump's pre-election excuse for why people wouldn't vote for him. Every court case, and every recount was a dismal failure.

This reminds me of those certain cults. They would be headed by a 'prophet' who predicted the end of the world. The following would gather up on hilltops, abandon their homes and all, awaiting for the end of times.
It didn't happen, naturally we know that because we are still here.
One would think that would be the end of it, the cult leader disgraced and everyone abandoning the false 'prophet'.
But that's not what usually happened. There were always some true believers, the diehards, who would rationalize these colossal failures away and stick to the group as long as the leader was alive, even past that into the next generation. Sometimes the 'prophet' would announce a new date, then another! Incredible.
We are seeing something like that here. The first secular-political cult.
It's not the first such cult. Different times, but this is how the Nazis rose to power in 1930's Germany, by spinning the Third Reich fantasy to a vulnerable populace. Look at all the democratic republics that have slid into authoritarianism over the last few decades - there are always plenty of easily manipulated people eager to drink the kool-aid. Plus today with the Internet, it is far easier to spread disinformation and propaganda. If you had to point to one single factor that has led America to the precipice here in the 2020's, it is technology.
Like I was saying in another thread, the Trump supporters after January 6th fall into two categories - fools and liars.
The "true faithful", the fools who still believe every fantastic claim and exaggeration and alternative fact that is spewed by the right-wing propaganda machine.
Or the liars - those cunning enough to understand with perfect clarity that January 6th was nothing more or less than an attempted coup to overturn a legitimate election. Their job as loyal goose-stepping soldiers is to keep repeating the lie, to keep spreading the poison.
Regardless of which camp they are in, this tyrannical minority represents the greatest threat to the American Republic since the Civil War.
