Will he win against Biden or Harris? Probably. But I seriously doubt Biden is running again and Harris is no shoe-in for the nomination even as VP. If the Democrats can nominate someone who a) has detectable brain waves, and b) isn't as reviled as Hillary or Kamala, they'll probably win. Trump definitely drives Republican turnout. Unfortunately for him and the GOP, he drives even more Democrat turnout.

Recall, when Mr. Trump was inaugurated on January 20, 2017, he, that same afternoon, filed his declaration of running again in 2020.

I thought it was possible that Mr. Trump would file such again on January 20, 2021, after he left office.

He did not, and has not. Why?

Follow the money. Here is a good explanation:

"Mr Trump can currently to raise money into his super PAC, receiving unlimited contributions from individuals, corporations, labor unions and other PACs to fund his independent political activity. As soon as he declares that he’s running for president, his super PAC staff would have to separate from the Trump office, and he would only be permitted to fundraise into his presidential account.

It’s also possible Mr Trump is conscious that support – financial and otherwise – may drop drastically if he declares he’s not in the running for the 2024 election, as donors throw their weight behind other candidates."

https://www.independent.co.uk/news/w...-b1904705.html

Also from the link:

"In a Fox News interview, Mr Trump told host Sean Hannity, that he couldn’t confirm if he was going to seek reelection, because it would be illegal.

“As the campaign finance laws are extremely complicated and unbelievably stupid, I’m actually not allowed to answer that question, can you believe it?” said the former US president.

He continued: “I’d love to answer it. But let me put it this way, I think you’ll be happy and I think a lot of our friends will be very happy. But I’m not actually allowed answer it, it makes things very difficult if I do.”

Obviously, it is not illegal for him to answer that question. However, if he declared, it becomes more problematic for him to funnel contributors money to himself and his family.

I bet that is what he is doing. I bet that his children as all paid workers, and being paid handsomely.

Myself, I doubt Mr. Trump will run again. He has convinced his followers that he did not lose the election. If he runs again, and loses, that argument will be harder to maintain.

Edited to add: What the heck does Joe Rogan know?

No one except the people who voted for Trump the first two times around are waxing poetic about the Trump years. And, surprise, a large segment of those who did are dead from a hoax virus. The problem the GOP has now is they’ve thrown all their collective identity behind Trump so even if a better candidate emerged, he or she wouldn’t have a chance.

If Joe’s next couple of years are like his last couple of months a ham sandwich will beat him in 24.

Are you saying more Trump supporters than Biden supporters died from the virus?

Sleepy Joes ratings are plummeting and he’s only 8 months in. He won’t make it to 2024, but with the way it’s going, it will take very little effort in 2024. Midterms are going to be a debacle for the Dems.

I like Rogan, and agree with a lot that he says...except for this one. Also, I don't want to see Trump anywhere near this election, and I voted for him twice. Time to move forward.
