San Francisco Mayor London Breed‘s plan to flood the city’s Tenderloin District with police officers and to set up centers where drug users can get help — or risk going to jail — faces steep opposition from other city leaders.

Breed declared a state of emergency in the area on Friday and has proposed a plan to clean up the area that includes sending more police officers to patrol the streets to stop drug dealers and outdoor drug use. The mayor’s plan also includes building sites where drug users can get help, or risk going to jail.

The San Francisco Board of Supervisors is set to vote Thursday on whether to approve the state of emergency, which the Democratic mayor argues will allow the city to better address overdoses and provide treatment to addicts

Like a pig wallowing in its own filth, these radical leftists love the misery and dysfunction that they have created. And so, a once-great city steadily sinks into dystopian decay.

It's almost as though the leaders of San Francisco are intentionally making it the way it is...... Why else would they try to stop a plan that would actually improve the situation?

The tenderloin's existence makes absolutely no sense. And if you haven't been there before you wouldn't understand. It's straight up SCARY. You will genuinely fear for your life / safety needing to walk through it, and will feel your car is not safe to leave there.

If you haven't been there I will try to explain - YOU are the target they are looking for. You think because you are a genuinely well mannered nice person that they'll give you a pass? No that's EXACTLY who they are looking to target. And they are completely off the rails psychotic violent.

Why does NO ONE ever consider attacking this problem at its source?!

If the poppy fields in Mexico are destroyed...US dealers will have NOTHING to sell addicts...or how about holding the DEA responsible for its total failure to get this problem under control? Why are we still paying for this agency to operate, when all they do is make the drug problem worse? They literally work with the drug cartels who supply this garbage for petes sake.

I've actually walked through the TL at night. It's far less scary than walking through someplace like Baltimore but what's scary is what it's like in the middle of the day. Overrun by zombies ****ting on sidewalks and shooting up in broad daylight with barely a sober person in sight.

London Breed is now begging tech execs to bring their workers back to the city. She's trying but the City Council seems determined to continue the stupidity.

So if we follow this entire chain of events.
  • Mayor defunds the police to the tune of 120 Million in July in the name of "Racial Equity"
  • Crime skyrockets so the mayor tries to increase policing.
  • City Council says no, because there are other ways to "help".
Meanwhile...the City Council has no issues with going after people who are actually trying to make a living if they dare allow an "Unvaccinated" person in their restaurant to have a meal.

And yet there are still people who don't know why SF is so messed up.
