Once that change is made, the parents can do what they want with the schools. It's their money at that point, and no one else's, after all.
Or.....pay it forward. YOU benefit from your education, so pay it forward....for the next generation.

A school can teach little children perverted sexual material or that white people are evil and black people are saints. And parents can do absolutely nothing about it.

That is how Democrats think.

Most text books and course outlines are determined at the state level not school.

This is a few unhappy parents, they don't get to determine teaching agenda, if they don't like it they have alternatives.
Like I said before, that argument only flies if the state is going to give the parents their money back.

Hard Pass. I want future generations to actually learn something. I also want accountability and results in the public school system and at this point, it appears the only way we're going to get it is by taking their money away.

That's not the way it works in civilized countries, you don't get a refund if you don't drive a car or fly out of an airport. If every one comprehensively wants to change society to a pay as you go system then fine otherwise you don't get to choose.

That's how it works in a free-market capitalist economy. Pay as you go Works for me.
