I shop there occasionally and find some good things for 1 buck. During this inflation time , I will most likely go there more often. Good place to stock up on various items.
Mostly stuff made in China. But I do buy their greeting cards.....
A lot of the pricing issues are due to China having energy restrictions in half their provinces, which include manufacturing, and problems with shipping
Many large chains like Costco are renting their own barges and shipping containers to offset the problems.
This is a world wide problem, not a US problem.

Absolutely. I see some of the same posters who are so anti China, bring manufacturing home types, that are upset about this? i thought they only bought American when they could, and are more than happy to pay the higher price to support their country.
Odd.

I am not at all surprised, "Biden's" inflation or not.
I have gotten so many great deals at Dollar Tree -- most of which I would have paid double for and still considered it a bargain. (Greeting cards, gift wrap and stocking stuffers.) I can't say that for much of anything else I buy!
My boyfriend likes to collect boat and lighthouse stuff. I remember finding these cute little wooden boats and resin light houses at the dollar store. They were actually pretty detailed and seemed like a good deal for a dollar. Had them in the house for quite a few years. Eventually, we decided to get rid of a lot of his collection. I put some of it on ebay. I remember listing one of these little boats. I got $7 for it. Imagine my surprise.
I think that items that used to be $1 selling for .25-.50 cents more is still a bargain. Where else can you get what they sell for that cheap?
