The book alleges that Bobby Kennedy, in the company of Peter Lawford, gave Marilyn Monroe a poisoned drink to kill her because she was threatening to go public with the affairs she was having with the Kennedy brothers. There’s always been speculation but this provides a level of evidence never before seen from the LA police files of the time. If the allegations are true would that change your view of the Kennedy brothers? It would mean they were willing to murder a woman they had affairs with to protect their political career.

I didn't think that the reputation of the Kennedy family could get any worse. When you are at the bottom, more information about nefarious, illegal behavior is just a further confirmation of what everyone already knew.

This rumor has been going around for quite a while.

The Kennedy's were dirty. Nothing would surprise me or change my opinion about that.

That was the rumor back then...they took Marilyn out because of her affair with JFK and they were afraid she would blab to the world.
