If these were 85,000 Europeans trying to escape a hellhole coming here, would you conservatives be so up in arms?
Many more thousands of Irish "invaded" our shores during the Potato Famine.
What happened to the ideals of this country "give us your tired and poor" and all that.
You can guarantee if it were a bunch of white people from eastern Poland you liberals would be dead against it.
That's the difference. The Irish came here LEGALLY. We wanted them. We had factory worker vacancies to fill. There is still a legal system that exists and non criminals use it. Criminals just waltz in even though there are no jobs for them. They are legally allowed to stay in Chile and they should stay there.
As a Democrat, I have written to my elected officials in DC and I urge others to do the same. Progressives should not steal the Democratic party from the moderates and our country cannot afford to try to assimilate this many people--who do not speak the language and aren't even tested for covid, and who will bring more problems with them. Progressives on the left and fake Christians on the right are going to be the ruin of this country. Contact your officials if you are a Democrat--just google it and write a simple email. Keep doing it.
There isn't a problem, and it was worse under George W. Bush.
Keep telling yourself that, smh. Del Rio has basically collapsed due to the number of illegals crossing into the town. Cartels run the border now, and that bleeds into the border towns as well.
People are mad, really angry, at the Biden administration and that will certainly be reflected next year in November.
Panama's foreign minister sounded the alarm to warn the United States once again of a wave of Haitians coming toward the U.S.-Mexico border.
Erika Mouynes warned in an interview with Axios Wednesday that there were roughly 60,000 migrants, most of whom are Haitians, making their way toward the U.S. southern border, a surge roughly four times as large as the number of migrants reported in Del Rio, Texas.
The report I heard said that 85,000 people are heading for the U.S. southern border, and "only" 60,000 of them are Haitians.
Not a big difference really, I guess, an illegal alien is an illegal alien.
Yesterday (Thurs. Sept. 30) they were crossing Panama. Should take them 1-2 months to get there.
Really wish Biden hadn't dumped the agreements President Trump had made with the governments of Panama, Nicaragua, Guatemala etc. that those countries wouldn't let people flow freely through their countries, but would refuse them permission to enter.
Somehow 100,000 +/- Haitians made their way to Columbia and Panama following the 2010 earthquake and have been there ever since.
Panama claims 85000 are on the move, headed on foot through jungles and deserts on a 2000+ mile journey through Costa Rica, Honduras, Guatemala and Mexico Before arriving at their destination, the US.
I am curious how they have managed to survive. Many seem to have phones.
Why did Columbia and Panama allow them to stay?
Why do the 4 countries between Panama and Texas allow Hatiens to enter their countries?
It’s not like most Haitians can blend in due to differences in skin color and language. Where do they sleep? What do they eat? Where do they get potable water?
How much $ is it going to take to persuade Central American countries and Mexico to enforce their own borders?
Why did the Biden Admin abort plans to airlift captured Haitians back to Haiti?
Did Haiti decline or expect $?
Would be swell if the Admin explained what’s what.

As soon as Trump withdrew aid from Central America and Mexico, those countries stemmed the flow of illegals traveling through their countries. I doubt Biden has the ....huevos to do that.
“States have to start refusing to take them. Governors need to deploy the National Guard to their borders. Non-border states need to send national Guard Troops in support. That's one way to pressure Biden. Or send them all to Guantanamo. It's time to push back against Biden - Hard.”
Another comment on states rights
Replying to mytruthhurtsyou There is a clause in the U. S. Constitution that states when the fed government is too slow to act to protect a states border, the states can declare war and protect its own borders, and I wish all the border states DO THIS IMMEDIATELY. Article 1, Section 10, Clause 3.
I agree that the states need to refuse to take them.
How does Article 1, Section 10, Clause 3 support your argument?
Quote:
Article I, Section 10, Clause 3
No State shall, without the Consent of Congress, lay any Duty of Tonnage, keep Troops, or Ships of War in time of Peace, enter into any Agreement or Compact with another State, or with a foreign Power, or engage in War, unless actually invaded, or in such imminent Danger as will not admit of delay.
