If someone publishes verifiable lies about someone it opens the door to a real lawsuit for slander and/or defamation that could produce real consequences for the author and publisher. The only reason anyone would attempt to stop someone from publishing a book is that it contains undeniable truths that could have implications for the subject ranging from embarrassment in the public eye to criminal prosecution.

He didn't sue her for Slander. The arbitration was over the NDA he lost the point I was making he is going to lose all his NDA's with everyone this could open the floodgates. Trump was known for making everyone sign NDA's this is the reason why Mary Trump keeps going on CNN, and MSNBC so she could get him to challenge the NDA.
So no one sues to stop lies. That's your juvenile conclusion? Why would anyone wait? Rhetorical, I don't ask partisans questions because I know they'll make things up.

This was about the NDA. Not slander. Trump is not claiming there's any lies in the book. He's claiming that Omarosa is sharing facts about him that were covered under an NDA... which was ruled to be unenforceable.
Not sure why people here are making a big deal out of this. It happens all the time.
So since her book was all a load of malarkey and had no bearing on anything but feeding the OMB machine, the case got tossed out.
That entitled clown has been full of malarkey since The Apprentice and probably before. She’ll do anything to try to be significant versus working for it, lol.
All these people who were around Trump will end up rich while Trumps family ends up poor, and Trump possibly in Prison. Some say that is why Trump entered politics he knew he had a tax problem his business's were headed for disaster.

Why do you think that the NDA that some of his staff signed are exactly the same as all his other NDA's?
Apparently Don McGhan did write the NDA's but he had made them a lite version, where basically only non-public and confidential information cannot be released. Omarosa took her phone into secure areas and was taping while she was in there. What do you think her angle was to take video and audio in highly secured areas?
You do know that, like Kristian Saucier had been under Obama for taking pictures inside a sub, she could have been imprisoned for it, right? Obama probably would have had her imprisoned. Trump pardoned Saucier and did not have Omarosa charged for committing a breach. Omarosa only got fired, she got off easy. But, if she does have confidential/classified information on her alleged recordings and she releases it then she might very well go to prison.

What "truth" in the book are you talking about? Can you prove it's true?
Your train of thought seems to have jumped the track. Go back and reread the posts for context.
If the book was full of lies about him, Trump would have a winnable lawsuit for defamation and/or slander. He tried to stop publication, and he didn't know what was in the book. It stands to reason that if a lawsuit would have made him a hero and the victim, he would have gone for it. The only other explanation is that he expected information to come out that would embarrass him or implicate him in shady activity, possibly criminal, and that he would have had to perjure himself to lie about it in a court of law.
Question foir you - Can you prove it's not (whatever it is)...?
