Supply wasn't from shutting down the economy -- it came from workers getting sick and not being able to report to work -----

oops there it is.

Stores like Target saw a surge in sales last spring......

China had almost half of their provinces shut down with limited electricity and that included manufacturing. We have a backlog of cargo ships in multiple ports sitting for days.

From what I've read, there really are no shortages (aside from specifics like chips and such), just shipping and cargo issues mainly. Shortage of longshoremen, truckers, etc.

Store like Costco and Target are renting their own cargo containers and ships to smooth out their supply lines.

About a month ago, China had air cargo, and the 2nd largest ports essentially shut down due to covid illnesses.

Noticed the other day no stores had canned spinach. Odd.

I really doubt it will get better soon.

There are 500K containers waiting offshore. Xmas is coming. Most retailers rely on the Xmas season to make a profit. Whatever it takes to get these ships unloaded needs to be done. If the feds need to get involved, bring in the National Guard or Navy to get it done. Biden should be focused on that and not pushing bloated spending bills through congress.
Not really true. Trump was the one who wanted to open up the "economy". The Guvnors of each state are responsible for their own states shutdown. As they should be. Local control is best.

I noticed it in July. Thought maybe it was due to the large influx of tourists for the summer.
But it persisted after Labor Day.

LOL... Limited energy... Ya right. They are yankin our chains. Probably trying to turn the USA into the next Venezuela with loads of hyperinflation. That's what happens when you play with dangerous things, like socialism and communism.

Trump tried to tell you to get up off your entitled behind and make your own goods and products. Democrats whined and cried like a bunch of 2 year olds. The rest is history. Now it's off to "you will own nothing and be happy" land... Fun times indeed. I'm sure the next generation will totally appreciate what democrats have done to America.

Probably wouldn’t matter. This is largely due to shipping companies requiring vaccination of employees and so many resigned limiting workers
