If there are 6 cases of bottled water, you can bet someone will buy all 6 of them. If they see 4 boxes of a dozen eggs, they will buy all of them up also. The list goes on and on. I have seen it first hand in the Ocala, Fla Walmarts.

My view is these are hard times for whatever the reasons for these shortages. Everyone needs to help each other, and not buy every damn thing in a store and leave nothing for others. Buy what you need and quit the hoarding of items. It's about time Walmart and other stores starts enforcing that policy ,as they did with the paper products last year.
Yes usually folks jump on the media creating hype but now they are using the media to support some kind of thinking that the shortages are created by Biden policy.

Which isn't the case.

I do think media is hyping shortages because the retail industry is hyping shortages......why? Because retail wants to get rid of their inventory...buy early at higher prices and they don't have to fuss with sales and markdowns.

And folks will jump on the wagon.

Be real -- the only shortage in toys has been the PS5 and Switches and that has been the case since Trump was President.

No Trump is not to blame --- anymore than Biden will be to blame that you can't get those items.

I just got done shopping, and I did not notice any major shortages at my supermarket. Toilet paper looked picked over, but it was being restocked. Lots of produce. Some canned goods on sale. Chicken and salmon reasonably priced. I was able to get everything on my list without any substitutions.

That being said, I don't doubt that others are seeing shortages, but I am mystified by how things can be so different in other locations.

I don't know how bad the toilet paper, paper plate & paper towel situation is going to be this year, but I'm not waiting around to get jammed up like last year so I went out last week & purchased about a year's worth of all these products.

If you buy Wypalls they can be rinsed and used over and over instead of paper towels and get a bidet for your tail pipe.

Bidet's make a lot of sense. Never used one, but I approve of it in theory

If things get tough you may need a hand pump to get the bidet to work along with a bucket of water to flush the toilet.

We had the opportunity during Trump's term to stock up.
Smart people did, and others did not.
Now it time to take lessons from Venezuela.

Maybe I’m just lucky at the moment but everything here is still fully stocked.

SW Florida is nearly fully stocked. I noticed a few items out of stock, but not many.

I've slowly stockpiled a 6 month supply of everything, so I'm good.

I have also stockpiled water, cash, Silver Eagle Dollars, & stuff to protect it all so I sleep well at night.

I cant find a Gatling Gun though!

Actually, are you thinking the oil price will come down within the next six months? Inflation is real, and the shortage is only the last straw.

Right, I might consider it for the right money, but at my age and with my health issues, I could have difficulty with the physical.

Besides, who wants to live in a truck?
