I'm noticing the same thing where I live in Florida. Walmart constantly empty shelves, but Publix seems to have shelves stocked.

I wonder if Publix pays their staff more than Walmart. A store needs people to restock the shelves one or more times per day.

Back from the grocery, and this is the first time that I've seen any real shortages in the Denver metro. The produce department at the King Soopers where I normally shop was pitifully stocked. Entire sections were missing. I was surprised because up to now that store usually had everything I needed. I was able to stop at Sprouts on the way home, and while it was better stocked, it also looked a little thin. Not sure what happened, but I hope it was just a temporary aberration.

I noted a severe shortage some 5-6 years ago, the shortage seems to be getting more severe every day!

I don't know which store pays more. I do know Publix is usually more expensive than Walmart on most everything. In fact I've seen the exact same product at Walmart be almost double at Publix. So I rarely ever shop at Publix. Which is making these shortages so severe for many of us. Many communities in Florida only have 2 major grocers Publix and Walmart. I do not consider Sav a lot and Dollar General grocery stores.

I'm noticing a shortage of certain types of cars. The prices of USED cars are going up. I'm also seeing a shortage of chicken in the stores and prices are going up for that too.

The shortages are regional. I went into a SC supermarket and saw not one package of meat in the meat section. Half empty shelves and not much left where there was product.

Now in Florida we have full shelves in every supermarket. I shop all over for the sales to beat inflation and I got a good pick because the shelves are full.

Sometimes yes. But the other day I went to the grocery store and was shocked by how much was there. The store recently remodeled and updated itself and it's got a lot more now than it did pre-covid, it was a nice surprise. I don't know how long it will last but for now..

I have gotten letters in the mail from where I purchased my Expedition and lincoln.. they want to buy them back and say there will pay 10% over KBB price. They must be getting desperate to get some inventory. Used car prices are way up .
