Climate change is natural. It’s part of the evolution of this planet. You cannot stop it.

Sure, we are all part of nature. But I suspect we are a unique part of nature, in that we are able to quantify a basic truth about the molecular composition of the atmosphere, and understand that we have the ability to alter the global environment by purposefully choosing to ignore the knowledge we have gained.
Ducks, goats, ants, bacteria etc lack that ability, so humanity is really more like super nature, I believe.
So let's pay more money to our government because we feel guilty for existing?
I look at cities like Los Angeles. A sea of concrete, glass, and asphalt. It's vast. Combine that with cars commuting daily throughout this vast region. And then look at smog as well(which was worse in the 80s).
How do we not have an impact?
There are 50 cities like that in China too, and all around the world.
So what? Should we go back to cave dwelling?

I've been practising my own form of "offsetting" for years, so don't feel like I need the government taking money off me, to get others to do the same.
