How do you measure that? I'll admit, I didn't read the article. However, I'm guessing they are comparing things such as wealth, education, family structure, and net worth.
One interesting question was about what kind of neighbors people prefer. In some countries, people of another race are not nearly as welcome as they are in the U.S.
Blacks are the freest, & most prosperous in the USA than any other place on Earth! Don't believe me, believe a well-travelled college Dean, who happens to be black:
America's the greatest country on Earth, but its in financial trouble, due to corrupt politicians who care about themselves than our country, so we must take action to eradicate them asap.
I'm hopeful this will take place in the 2022 & 2024 elections when we elect Dem & Pub moderates who are fiscally conservative, and who will stop the wreckless spending in DC.
You can always judge a country by how many people are trying to get in versus how many people are trying to leave.
That's like to saying you can judge a state by net migration. People go to where the money is.
Almost all small towns are dying, while immigrants rush into California. Is that for the schools? Is that for the freedom? Is that for the low crime rate? No. It is for money.
Please explain to me why small towns dying? And don't use terms like "opportunity". I want you to explain that exact mechanisms, finance, technological, labor, etc. Now apply that logic internationally.

Do you really think that places with greater poverty and less opportunity are more desirable?
What is opportunity? Why does it exist in some places and not others? And why is it increasingly difficult to "survive" in less urban areas(not only in this country but around the world)?

Most of those in America that complain about America and want socialism or communism would not last 15 minutes in a REAL socialist or communist country.
(...and btw....Norway, Denmark and Sweden are NOT socialist countries!)

Only stupid people actually believe this.
According to the IRS's own numbers...the top wage earners pay almost all of the income taxes collected in America. The bottom 50% of wage-earners only pay 3% of all federal income taxes collected.
So yes, the higher earners ARE paying most of the income taxes...not so stupid, sorry!
So you’re saying that the rich DO NOT pay the vast majority of income taxes?

Let's pretend the government raises taxes on "the rich". What do the rich do?
To make it easier to understand, if the government raises the corporate-tax rate for McDonald's, who pays it?
Social-security tax rate is currently 12.4%. Only half of that(6.2%) will show up as a withholding on your paycheck, who pays the other half?
If the minimum-wage is raised, who pays it?
