I'm a 36 year old African American. Everyday I hear people I know dog American preach a false narrative that Cops are hunting black men down in the street like dogs. I know that isn't true. My dad is a retired Officer. I know plenty of cops. No one is hunting us down in the streets.
I constantly get preached to on how America is racist and that we should all leave and how life in America sucks for us.
However, I've seen plenty posts about the Haitians at the border. Plenty of big time celebrities have posted on the subject. I made the comment to a friend that "if America is so terrible then why are they trying to come in? Instead of protesting our raciest government to let them in, shouldn't we be telling them how terrible it is here and to go back home?". Well, that didn't go over to well. I am now an Uncle Tom and any other name you can think of.
I get preached on daily oh how "Amerikkka" as they write it is so terrible for the poor and for minorities. However, we have thousands of poor minorities crossing hades and high water trying to coming in. Is it safe to safe that even the poor in America live pretty good?

Since America is the wealthiest nation on the planet there are many safety nets in place so being "poor" in America is a high standard of living compared to other countries.
America is and always will be great, but don't judge America on what you read in C-D which is mostly gloom and doom. Instead judge America on what you see in your daily life which is that America is full of kind, warm, caring, and generous people.
Are you really confused? It's both and everything in between. It's great. It's terrible. It's mediocre. It depends what and where you focus. The conservatives tend to to want to "conserve" it the way it is. Liberals think it can be even better if we keep what's great and focus on improving the worse parts of it.
America is only racist when you need to win an upcoming election. Have you noticed how there isn't nearly as much talk about racism lately?
That's only temporary, but you're right.
So many disasters (Afghanistan, border, etc.) the news didn't really have time to keep calling us racist. You know it's bad when CNN and NBC were poo pooing O'Biden a few weeks ago.
It'll be back, the race card on the news. But each day that side loses tons of people and the other side gains them. The news thinks we are stupid, and we aren't. And many of us feel insulted by that. MSM really is the enemy of the people, Trump sure had that right.
America is fine and would be a lot better (like it used to be) if the mute button could be pressed on the liberal left that keeps pushing false narratives and making people believe they're something they're not.
I know a lot of conservatives. None of them are racist or are against legal immigration. None are white supremacists. Everyone is pro-law enforcement and for upholding the laws of the United States. We just detest Joe Biden and the what the liberal left is doing to turn the country into a 3rd world cesspool.
