If it's not kids stealing school property due to TikTok, now they're going straight to assaulting teachers.
I realize teachers and those in authority have been under assault for a long time, but now it's being promoted outright on social media. We have lost control of our youth and society, no wonder our country is heading down the toilet.
A South Carolina woman has fallen victim to a worrying new TikTok challenge encouraging school children to "slap a teacher."
The challenge, which began on October 1, follows on from the recent "devious licks" trend which led to the theft and damage of school property last month before TikTok took action to remove any videos or hashtags referencing it from the platform.
Unfortunately, the new "slap a teacher" trend has already led to disruption in at least one elementary school in Lancaster County where a female educator ended up being assaulted as part of the trend.
In a statement first posted to Facebook Lancaster County School District Safety & Transportation director Bryan Vaughn confirmed: "Sadly, we actually had an elementary student assault a teacher by striking her in the back of the head."
Well, you know... an eye for an eye. Perhaps the teachers should have a challenge called, "let's see how many teeth you can knock out of a child." Or perhaps not. Perhaps we should just reopen the "reform schools" of old to... uh... correct such unruly snotnoses.
Hopefully he will be expelled. Our district sent out an email prior to the latest challenge (I guess this was a challenge in the works for October)...anyway, our district made it clear that any assault on any teacher or school administrator would result in immediate expulsion.
While I do enjoy keeping tabs on family and close friends via Facebook, I do agree that all of these social media platforms are out of control and have ultimately done more harm than good. I actually wish they had never come to fruition.
All Social media is trash and a cancer. It will be written in the history books as an experiment gone completely wrong. I predict it will all be canceled / outlawed in the future (hope is a hell of a drug).
I'd like to see a follow up with the parents being interviewed to see what they're going to do about it.
