The flu shot only protects you against a small subset (4) of the flu strains. It's really effective agains those 4 strains. But there's many other strains that it doesn't protect you from and you're at risk of getting those.
Yes.
It essentially prevents severe reaction to that small subset. It does not prevent infection (and transmission) of that small subset.
The covid shot is along the same lines in terms of infection and transmission. Which is why firing unvaccinated workers under the rationale they can catch and transmit Covid does not pass the giggle test. Because the vaccinated catch and transmit also.

It might not have 90% plus efficacy but doesn't the J & J beat the annual flu vaxxes with around 70% efficacy. It's something to note because it's a more traditonal vax not the new mrna vaxxes. I thought I saw where it says Pfizer's vax as low as 3 months efficacy when it 'works'.
Forget 90% efficacy, the only time it saw it saw it was through Pfizer's own data (which was gamed).
Moderna is stronger than Pfizer, and so yields to 5x as much adverse events. But if Pfizer is gonna not give much protection, we should pull it, and then we can address if Moderna is worth it considering its extremely high reactogenic nature.
Yes, but the the original person was discussing how we'd have to keep getting boosters even after the 3rd booster and it will never end. It might go onto boosters for life (in theory).
I was saying 3rd shot...if you want to get technical it's actually the "second booster" but all 3 shots are exactly the same. I got 2 and I don't won't get another of the same becasue it's pointless.
There is a pattern of people dying from these vaccines.
There's a pattern of people dying from water as well. Neither is relevant.
