I learned that we can have months long "early" voting, unverified mail in voting, and drive up ballot boxes and people will still complain about voter suppression.

in 1970 the chamber of commerce told businesses to send lobbyists to DC, they have swamped DC and probably are what people call the swamp...simply requiring the separations of banks back to pre-clinton days would certainly help...both party's are guilty

what has biden done? nothing thats made the news as far as i know, people are enraged with superficial

anger directed at minor things which media outlets direct..i would think the progressive wing would lead on this.....

i have a suspicion the market is an intermingled complete mess which is a gracious way of not blaming obama...the mess was way over the head of trump....

i would say almost all the discussions about "issues" on this forum mean nothing if our economic market goes belly-up...my hope is the progressives have studied the issue the same people that are called demons and insane by many posters

we have QE now which only drives the wealth gap as promises of higher worker pay were empty

europe has always had had a socialist party involved in their politics and added national and local laws to help individuals..
industrialized capitalism has created more prosperity than at any time in history...nobody calls for one or the other as republicans paint the issue just a few tweaks here and there

Yes, gas prices have gone up, but it has served to stimulate the oil industry in this country. The price will come back down, of course, in time. Even natural gas dipped significantly yesterday.

I like how President Biden has taken the novel coronavirus seriously. Yes, plenty of continuing deaths and hospitalizations, but mainly among those that refuse to protect themselves (not only Republicans, of course, but blacks and Hispanics).

The Child Tax Credit has helped to lift 3 million children out of poverty. Children are precious, right? Or is that no longer a thing.

I like that Mr. Biden was able to address the United Nations without being laughed at. I like that he is dedicated to preserving the NATO alliance (to the disappointment of Mr. Putin, whom fully backed Mr. Trump's call to perhaps leave NATO).

I liked how Mr. Biden extended an arms control treaty with Russia.

I like how he cancelled student debt for those with disabilities (although I have my limits on this issue).

I liked that we rejoined the Paris Accords.

Anyway, that is a short list.
I don’t particularly like most of these things but that’s a great list for a supporter.

I guess we close the thread now?

Positives are we don’t have to hear the media being critical of our President anymore
We no longer have to hear about investigations into the President and his business dealings

So you had to know, based on his umpteen years in politics and his reputation for never getting anything right (much like John Kerry), that there was not going to be much good coming out of this administration. And yet you voted for him knowing that - just to get rid of Trump because you didn't like Trump's personality. Which is my point. Let's vote for the demented senior citizen who will not likely get anything right and NOT vote for the guy who, personality aside, was getting alot of good things accomplished.
I did not mean to derail by referring to DT, but this came up in a conversation I had with some conservatives the other day.

Biden's bills to help people are stuck in Congress, but when these pass there will be many things we can note as positives.
Is he going to reverse the "government land giveaways" all the way back through the Obama-Biden* administration, and farther?

I think that low unemployment, a strong economy, safer children, and cleaner air/water are generally considered good things, but you don't have to agree.

I'm not going to say that Biden has changed the world in the last 9 months, but the biggest impact of his presidency has been the stability/comfort that has permeated the global arena. He is an experienced statesman with a long political career and contacts worldwide. The news cycle is dominated by actual news and policies (i.e., regular political bickering and posturing) as opposed to incoherent tweets and arrests of Trump associates.

Also, while I don't necessarily agree with all of the administration's funding plans/priorities, I do look forward to the higher tax rates on the especially wealthy and profitable corporate entities, and I hope (but am skeptical) that the wealth gap will shrink at least to previous levels (which were far from equitable but at least not as pronounced as they are now).

But, I am open to discuss it if you have some link showing Donald Trump's golfing outings to have run companies out of business.
You would have to look in the local paper for NNJ. Its 50 miles from wherever the president is.

Drones were another fun thing. Better drones would not even turn on when he was around. 50 miles out!

Im sure Biden is shutting down Del.

The federal government owns the vast majority of lands in the western states and most of it would be in better hands of private parties.

Right... like higher inflation.

Well if those bills are so needed why do democrats who are in control of both houses pass them?
