Many. But I will admit, we are useless too.

All talking, just no solution.

I doubt you'd have anyone in this forum admit to being ok with stealthing. But, from where I stand, that hardly settles things. While well-intentioned, this law--like far too many passed by politicians--is opening up the door to abuse and misapplication, threatening to see more innocent people behind bars on the account of a scorned lover.

That's in worse case.

Most realistic case? How are you going to prove that someone engaged in stealthing as a general matter? From where I stand, this is a solution in search of a problem.

You deal with stealthing with laws on the books. If you agree to engage in consensual sex, a partner pulling off a condom without asking breaks that consent and can be charged under existing laws. Granted, you're still going to run into the same problem of proving things, but the point remains.

I wonder if any California Republican legislators supported it or protested who didn't?
Perhaps if the Democrats stopped seeing the state's legal monopoly on the use of force (coercion) as a means to power and influence, and stopped peddling their supposed access to it like some cheap "procurer", then there would be moe opportunities for respecteful dialogue with those of us who fear abuse of that power.

Can't wait for the first court case on this!
I wonder if the prosecution will have to produce video evidence in court trial of the crime occurring.

What We need, a state task force of rubber enforcement. Liberals don't want to protect an unborn child but they want to get in the bedroom to enforce wearing a rubber. Liberals crack me up. Killing a baby= good. Taking out a rubber without the "permission" of the woman = criminal.

What happens if the rubber breaks and the man keeps pounding. Is that criminal too?

I don't know a man alive that would not want to go raw dog if he could, but to take it off in the middle is pretty rotten thing to do.
