Native Americans lived a peaceful, woke existence before colonialists stole their land.
There were no natives to this country/continent. The Amerindians migrated here just as the Europeans did when there were no immigration laws and no established country. No land was stolen that wasn't owned!
I know that Cinco de Mayo isn't a federal holiday but why is it a celebration in our country? It's about the Mexican army defeating the French and has nothing to do with the U.S.
Why Columbus? Why not have a day honoring all the European conquerors - Imperialism Day or something like that?

How about St. Patrick's Day? Anyway, if Italians think they need a day like the Irish and the Mexicans, they should pick a saint and do that one.

St. Patrick's Day is widely celebrated in the U.S. as well, despite having nothing to do with our history. Do you object to that as well?
