Interesting question I asked 30 years ago and got no straight answer.
Then we have ccp China, buying up American land today.
Will America be owned by China? Or is it already?
Should non-citizens be allowed to own land in the USA and it's territories?
I would say land and real property should only be owned by legal residents, visa, green card, or citizens, and any corporations must be legally domiciled here.
China currently owns about 200K acres of US farmland.
China is buying up farmland in many countries.
A Republican submitted a bill last year to curtail foreign ownership.
A Democrat loudly pushed back saying it was anti-Asian and would perpetuate hate against them.
The SJW's won on that one. Suck it up people....you lost.
What would it take for the USA government to prohibit foreigners from buying American land?
