There have been empty shelves off and on for years but more so last year than this year.
And what federal policy caused the back log off of California?
Can anybody at least make one up so you guys seemingly have some reason to blame the govt.
Paying people not to work until September. Printing trillions of dollars in stimulus. Vaccine mandates that are resulting on tens of thousands of people getting fired or quitting. The reason the supply chain is completely wrecked is that there aren't enough workers.
It's not difficult, but I realize you must defend Democrats at all costs no matter how obvious it is to an objective person.

It is clearly more complex than you can imagine.
The goods waiting to be unloaded have nothing to do with our unemployment. Those goods are baed on demands by all of us.
The port, the independent drivers have not been impacted by vaccine mandates or UIC benefits.
There is no correlation between the issues you cited and the port back log.

The initial empty shelves were from idiots making a panic rush on many products. The companies were recovering product production. There’s no panic buying going on. What’s going on is 1. Lack of workers since so many are still being paid to stay home, 2. Shipping supply issues (ships and trucking). What I’m seeing locally is the prices of products in stores and restaurants have risen to the point that middle to low income families are becoming more selective in what they buy and if they eat out. Wife and I were in the mood for Popeyes recently. Wife got 3 piece wing meal and I got the chicken sandwich meal. Total was about $16. Prior to the inflation and rise of hourly wage for fast food workers that meal would have been in around $11.
Ahh the new phenomenon of printing stimulus money, is suddenly making empty shelves.
There were empty shelves last year before any stimulus checks. And those shelves were not replenished.
