I never got into politics much until Obama. I voted for him the first time, but not the second time. Since then I have been pushed by the Democrats crap to go to the Republican party. The bs that the Dems did to Trump pushed me more toward the right. I use to tell people I was an independent.

I went with center but I'm right of center . I used to call myself a centrist but I'm going with conservative these days. If I have to pick a side which it seems I must that's where I'm coming down. I do lean more left on certain issues but those I don't discuss as they are personal. I've only ever voted for one Democrat in my life and that was at the state level. And that candidates breed of Democrat is long extinct.

I figured apolitical was the closest to what I am, but that’s not really accurate. Apolitical implies that someone isn’t interested or involved in politics. I am not involved in politics. I don’t belong to a political party, don’t really identify with any political party, and I kind of feel like all politicians are the same no matter what they say or who they say they represent. No matter who’s in office, things really don’t change much. I get the impression that this whole Republicans versus Democrats thing is just a dog and pony show.

But I read this forum (mostly lurk and sometimes post) and I find the different opinions interesting. So obviously I’m interested in politics to a degree. And I vote, I’ve never missed an election. But with each election, I feel like it’s just always more of the same and it gets harder and harder for me to choose which candidates I think are best.

Wow, as of right now, out of 110 votes, slightly less than 13% say they are moderate left or far left.

Yes, I think that the Dems are going to lose a LOT of House seats a year from now!

Btw, at least one person has brought up the idea about whether the Democrats are TRYING to lose their popularity with voters. I am beginning to think that might actually be a possibility so as to avoid the "sh*tstorm" that is almost, imo, guaranteed to come -- the question is how soon will it get here?*

*Meaning how soon will it be that there will be mass protests due to various government mandates, loss of some personal Bill of Rights freedoms, huge inflation, food shortages, etc. (Not saying that all these things will happen, but I would be very surprised if none of those things happened.)

Either that or city-data political forum does not reflect the same ratios as America at large or some other website

The pol says America 14.16% Far Right (45% total right)

America is 14.16% Far Right ? I don't know, maybe

It shouldn't come as a surprise, this has always been a right-leaning forum.

Boo hoo. That’s what happens when the thought police at the DNC/big tech ban anyone on social media or other fora who disagrees with left wing orthodoxy.

Far right on most social issues, not right or left on economic issues. Some of my views can be considered socialistic depending on who you ask.

You mean, he doesn't? He's getting that garbage somewhere!
