I am a skilled/licensed professional. If I lost my job, and couldn’t get one in the short term, I’d work at Walmart or McDonald’s no problem (while reducing my already low expenses). I can’t relate to this generation of people.
Well then again unless you a child you dont need milk.
Plus its just a game of chicken. Milk producers, and retailers and warehouses cant store milk forever. If they want to make money, they will have to lower price so people can buy. Or they may as well pack it up and quit.
I remember last year when the dairy farmers were dumping perfectly good milk in the fields because the milk processing plants were either running at reduced capacity or shut down completely. The cows still have to be milked whether it goes to market or goes to waste.
I am seeing the opposite. Actually, I think benefits right now are worse than they have been in years.
What companies. I went into a Harbor Freight tool company offering medical, dental, 401k, vacations, sick leave, education funding. Many others doing the same.
There are signs all over my mall saying help wanted.
I have been looking for a part time job and I walked in and asked ... they told me I had to sign up on the website and apply there..
When I did there were more questions than they ask for people to be judges.
And of course they wanted 3 references.
Laughable.
HR strikes again.
My wife has been working IT contract work now when she responds to a job offer they just reply back asking for her SSN, DOB, Full name, and other personal information to be sent to them over email. This is before she is even offered a job I don't know what they are doing she just ignores those emails.
They always start out at $22 an hour with in 3 minutes of haggling they are up to $38 an hour can tell just how difficult of a time they are having.
