They are progressive depending on what you or someone who calls themselves a progressive, means by it.
To me the ones that call themselves "progressive" do not mean liberal, they mean leftist. That is typically understood to mean they are socialist/communist leaning.
So someone like the poster you replied to has several alters they worship at, whether it be the alter of PC, open borders, climate change, etc.
They may seem in conflict, but if it leads to undermining this country, they can do what they want later when guaranteed unfettered power.
Not all of them are actively globalists in their individual thinking, but what they tacitly support is an undermining of the foundation upon which our constitutional republic was founded upon.
As to overpopulation, having large numbers of people overwhelm the larger cities, makes them urban hell holes, and that plays right into the leftist agenda.
Most of those type of people what the federal government to play a larger role in everyone's lives. If those people become dependent on government from cradle to grave, they will naturally vote (D), because the leftists have taken over the (D) party, and want perpetual power to "fundamentally change America".
The only thing stopping them from a wholesale shredding of our Constitution is the federal courts, the Supreme Court in particular.
Can you imagine how much worse things would be today had Hillary been elected and able to nominate 3 leftists to the scotus instead of originalists?
Heck Obama/Biden and now Biden/Harris seem to thumb their nose at the Constitution in several areas. Allowing unfettered illegal aliens to pour into our country is a dereliction of duty and law. But they know the longer they can get away with it, the more future voters they will have, if ever they can make them voting citizens.
They will then be willing "to compromise" with only wanting to return some of them, but the numbers will be so overwhelming, it will alter future elections if they are ever allowed to make them voters.
Ultimately, anyone who wants to "fundamentally change America" does not love it. Frankly when Obama made that pronouncement, that should have ended his political career.
The trouble is that the complicit leftist MSM tried to make it seem like he meant it in the best possible way, by making things better in certain areas. That is not what he meant, and now we can see what has happened to the (D) party, in how they were infiltrated by the "Justice Democrat" types, who want open borders for the aforementioned reason.
Try telling the person you ask to marry you, that you intend on fundamentally changing them, and see how well that works for you.
Sadly the average American was either too stupid or naive, to have believed Obama & Co when they let the cat out of the bag.
That would have been time to give the ring back, and say get lost!

Agreed.

Yes, like Russia. Russia has lots of open land like America, but their population is 145 million.

Indeed - I saw those comments when that guy said that.
Why do you worry so much? People much smarter than us are making the decisions. Go back to work, vote for who they tell you to vote for, and stop thinking so much.
You're not going to fix anything, all you can do is destroy. Is that what you want?

When America had 200 million people, violent crime rates were rising. America wasn't necessarily better. And for someone like me, any time period before 1970 was not better.
